About Us

Healthy Start

Healthy Start is a group where everyone is welcomed.

Our pregnancy and parenting programs provide a safe space for people – from pregnancy through the first year with baby – to learn and grow as parents alongside their growing babies.

At each drop-in group, we discuss topics such as challenges of pregnancy, coping with change as a new parent, sleeping, feeding your baby and more.

Our program team – an outreach worker, registered dietitian and a public/community health nurse are here for families. The goal of each group is to meet the needs of participants. We start the discussion and participants steer it. Our ultimate goal is to help participants find answers to their questions and feel more connected to their community.

You can sit back, share, talk if you would like, and try new foods.
