About Us

Healthy Start

Healthy Start is a place where healthy lives begin.

We offer pregnancy and parent & baby (up to 1 year) groups virtually using Zoom. Please email or call us at 204-949-5350 to find out more.

We also restarted groups in the community in a Come & Go style. This gives you an opportunity to meet the staff and ask questions one-on-one. Under Our Groups, please see our drop-in calendar for the next group in your community.

Our pregnancy and parenting programs provide a safe space for people – from pregnancy through the first year with baby – to learn and grow as parents alongside their growing babies.

At each group, we discuss topics such as challenges of pregnancy, coping with change as a new parent, sleeping, feeding and more.

Our program team – an outreach worker, registered dietitian and a public/community health nurse are here for families. The goal of each group is to meet the needs of parents. We start the discussion and participants steer it. Our ultimate goal is to help participants find answers to their questions and feel more connected to their community.

You can sit back, share, talk if you would like, and try new foods.
